If you play The Sims 4 using Windows or Mac, you have the amazing option to customize the game with custom content(CC) and mods.( You cannot install or use CC or mods on consoles.)
If you are new to CC and mods, the installation process can be complicated at first. Most mods and CC use the same steps to install. Creators will usually give you specific installation instructions if needed. Below you can find basic steps to install.

Download your CC or mod of choice.

Unzip the downloaded file if it is a .rar or .zip file.( You will need a program like 'WinZip' or 'WinRAR')

Move the unzipped files into your mods folder. You can find this folder typically in [DRIVE LETTER]:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods. If a Mods folder does not already exist, you can create your own as long as you keep it in the same location.

Open your game.

Open "options" then continue to "game options" tab.

Select "other" tab.

Make sure you check "enable custom content and mods"

Restart your game and enjoy your new content!
